Untitled
what is this world coming to
I just want to know
what used to be winter
is no longer filled with snow
its white light reminds me
that I am not alone
the sun reflecting off
creates the world in a different tone

Loneliness Poem

(From the perspective of the character Lennie Smalls in the novel Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck.)

Loneliness I feel it when I'm down.
I feel it piercing through my flesh when I fear that I
won't pet those rabbits.
My heart pumps 10 times faster and my head spins and I
Begin to feel this adrenaline racing through my muscles.
My hands reach out to the softness of her beautiful hair
or her beautiful garment and I realize that I need this; this is
what I need to chase away my loneliness.
Why must George yell at me why can't I remember what he said?
Why must Curly badger me.
Only person who can take away my loneliness is them rabbits.
Tell me the story again George I don't remember George.
Shhh shhh don't scream George won't let me pet those rabbits.
I feel loneliness when I'm yelled at by my friend George.
Loneliness is what I Lennie Smalls feel.

Birthmark
Brown is the color of my birthmark
So large it hardly goes unnoticed
Its presence shouting out for attention
No matter where I go

My birthmark gets attention
From all people of the world
My birthmark is a celebrity
To be worshipped by some
And hated by others

My birthmark is controversial
Causing death to some
And pride and power to all that know it

But to me my birthmark is merely skin
Made important by my soul

What would you do?
What would you do if someone you love
Didn't love you?
What would you do if you think he's the one
But gave his ex a son?

What would you do if he promised
Not to do it again?
What would you do if he kissed
Your best friend?
What would you do if he made you his wife
And controlled your whole life?

What would you do if you told him how you felt,
And he walked away without a doubt?
What would you do if he said he didn't care,
And that life is unfair
What would you do if he made you cry
And there was nobody to dry your eyes?

What would you do if he treats you like nothing
And when you say you're gonna leave,
He treats you like something
What would you do if he gave you his heart and just took yours?
What would you do if he locked your heart up
And you couldn't find the key?

What would you do if your friend said your life was on the line,
And he said that everything was just fine?
What would you do if he gave you so much stress?
Would you break down and confess?
What would you do?
