Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Note: None of the change for men ages 60-64 between 1994 and 2005 occurred between ages 60-61. The increase for men ages 62-64 was 17 percent.
