Library Page (Part-Time)
The Library Page assists branch staff with day-to-day library operations including customer service, circulation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with the public in a customer service capacity. This is an hourly position compensated at current minimum wage. This position’s weekly work schedule is less than 20 hours and is not eligible for health benefits.

Based on the need of the Library, we recruit for Library Pages to assist with routine responsibilities. Responsibilities
  • Shelves books and materials
  • Performs routine clerical duties
  • Assists with branch programs and activities
  • May assist with circulation duties
  • Maintains/organizes shelves
  • Provides assistance to patrons
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school graduate or current student
  • Valid working papers (if under 18)
  • Demonstrated literacy skills including reading & alphabetizing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with the public; prior experience working with the public is a plus
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal & external customers
  • Detail oriented
  • Requires ability to bend, lift, reach and stand
