DeKalb Library (790 Bushwick Avenue) will be closed through Monday, December 14, for extensive roof repairs. These are critical roof repairs to protect our customers, staff and collections.
While renovations continue, Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) will offer bookmobile service at DeKalb Library beginning November 18, on Wednesdays from 1 PM to 6 PM and Fridays from 11 AM to 4 PM.
In addition, our full catalog, along with hundreds of eBooks, articles and databases, can be accessed 24 hours, seven days a week from a home computer or another remote location using a BPL library card. Several nearby BPL branches, including Saratoga and Marcy libraries, are also open and ready to meet your needs.
The DeKalb branch opened in 1905. The 12,000 square foot Classical Revival library, is a two-story, three-bay brick and limestone building with high-ceilinged reading rooms.
